Hand-forged and hand-ground with brass-riveted rosewood handles, these Canadian-style knives from Thiers, France (1950s-60s) are crafted using traditional techniques now lost to time. Drop-forged and finished on a 'Martinet' hammer, they are thin, lightweight, and designed for exceptional cutting feel. Though handmade imperfections like slight waviness or handle gaps may exist, they offer historical charm and outstanding functionality.
These knives are ideal for coarse edges (around 1000 grit) and respond well to honing steels. Found in superb condition, they are unused, lightly cleaned, and a true piece of history. Note: New Old Stock knives are not pre-sharpened; sharpening is available upon request.
Dimensions: 13 1/4" edge, 2 5/8" at heel, 18 3/4" overall, 11-12 oz.
